A home inspection is a visual examination of the major systems and components of your home, both inside and out.
The home inspection includes, but is not limited to:
- Roofing
- Exterior cladding
- Windows/doors
- Attic and insulation
- Electrical
- Plumbing
- HVAC
- Foundation
- Drainage/Grading
- Structure
- All major systems
During the home inspection we will:
- explain to you the types of systems, their function and the materials involved;
- identify deficiencies and how they impact you;
- suggest ways to fix these deficiencies, and possible costs.
You will receive a detailed report within twenty-four hours of the home inspection.
Our home inspections meet or exceed the standards of practice as defined by
The Canadian Association of Home Inspectors (CAHPI).
Your home inspection will take between two and a half to three hours to complete, depending on the size and complexity of the home.
You are encouraged to be present for the entire inspection. It is a great opportunity to explain to you the systems of the home and how they will affect you. It is also a good time to get an answer any questions you may have.
Our service does not end at the completion of the inspection. Clients are able to call us at any time with questions about their home.
Please try to remember, a home inspection is a visual inspection. We will not open walls or ceilings or otherwise cause any damage to the home. We can only inspect what we can see.
